Macaroni Noodley Necklace
This is a fun, easy, inexpensive art project kids will enjoy. They can learn colors, make patterns and count the noodles. Older kids can tie knots between the noodles and add beads while making their necklace. They can also make bracelets.
Supplies:
Colored, uncooked macaroni, rigatoni, penne and ziti noodles ( previously dyed with food coloring/ directions under Noodley Sensory Bin)
Beads
String
Painters tape
Scissors
Instructions:
Measure the string around the child's neck for the necklace and cut it to length with scissors. Tie a big knot at one end and tape that end to the table using painter's tape. This keeps the noodles from falling all over the floor. Show the child how to thread the string through a noodle and repeat the process using different colored noodles. Leave a few inches at the top to be able to tie the two ends of the string together.
